Exhibition Parkvilla 24 august - 12 october 2023
We are pleased to announce that artist and former teacher of Parkvilla, Krikor Momdjian, will exhibit in our foyer from August 24 to October 12, 2023.
He himself says about this:
"With this exhibition, I want to show 44 years of the development of my work, from the moment I left Paris in 1979 to live and work in the Netherlands as a visual artist and poet. For the past 22 years, I have lived and worked in Alphen aan den Rijn. When I spent my first 8 months in Drenthe, I felt the presence of my soulmate Vincent van Gogh, as if I was walking next to him during my walks in the meadows and later along the Wijde Aa (the lake). The recent publication 'Letters to Vincent / Brieven aan Vincent' shows these experiences and image and language development. With this publication, I show my gratitude for what the Netherlands has given me."
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday 25 August at 7 p.m. and Krikor's book 'Letters to Vincent/ Brieven aan Vincent' will be presented. Mayor Liesbeth Spies will open the exhibition and receive the first copy of the book. The opening is freely accessible.
