When I heard that he was sick at the hospital in Paris, I visited him and my heart was broken seeing him after so many years, now dying. He was a geologist. I imagined as if grains of sand were falling through his fingers on the waves of the air as raindrops upon the surface of vast oceans, shooting radiant sparks of light upon our minds...
